Reduction. with Hunter Spencer

Reduction. was a radio show I hosted from late 2020 until early 2021 as a reification of my then-burgeoning interest in turn-of-the-millennium "PowerBook aesthetic" minimal, experimental, and ambient electronic music. Due to widespread public outrage, it only lasted for 2 episodes - first available for streaming on a bygone version of this website, later airing on Coog Radio, University of Houston's campus internet radio station.

Inspired by my confinement-era nighttime listening of Dallas's 101.1 WRR classical station, each piece was bookended with extended commentary on the artists, albums, labels, contexts, and techniques involved.

The songs were not mixed or otherwise altered, hence the lack of available free downloads, but track lists are available below for your viewing pleasure.
