semi edition of 20
"semi" is a conceptual multimedia work conceived to criticize and protest the ubiquity and limitations of internet streaming media and online distribution systems.

Update, September 2025:
Only 18 examples of "semi" currently exist. The commitment made to an edition of 20 remains and shall be honored, but be aware that orders placed beyond the 18th example will be made to order and will likely incur delays as a result.
Materials were purchased in bulk in February 2021, and, due to budgetary constraints, only the exact 20 USB flash drives needed to meet the edition were ordered. However, during final assembly in April and May 2021, I discovered that two of the 20 drives were defective, unable to be read or formatted on either Macintosh or Windows. By then, the return window had passed, and I was stuck with the faulty drives. (Not all was lost, however, as one of the inert drives found purpose as the "model" pictured here and on Bandcamp.)
For the sake of consistency, I intend to assemble the final two examples with the exact drive used in the others. Occasional checks over the years have shown this model, with its rather uncommon and dated capacity, either out of stock or in very limited supply. Sourcing it could be a cause for potential delays.
